
Jim Bowman
Jim Bowman lives and works in Dallas, Texas. He received a B.F.A. from Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO, and a M.F.A. from California college of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, CA.He has been invited to exhibit his work in Texas, nationally, and the prestigious International Exhibition of Glass in Kanazawa, Japan. As owner of Bowman Glass Studio, and also formerly Hickory Street Hot Glass Studio, Mr. Bowman has been a teacher and mentor to glass artists throughout the country. His work is in many private and corporate collections including the Belo Corporation, the Catholic Foundation, Dal-Tile, and U. S. Bank and Trust in Dallas. Recent commissioned projects include Hall Office Park, Neiman Marcus, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit. His work includes public art, architectural glass, mixed media sculpture and hand-blown glass.
