Alice Bateman
Alice Bateman lives and works in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in New York City, but moved with her family to Mexico where she studied painting at the University of Guadalajara. Ms. Bateman received her B.F.A. from the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting in London, England and studied sculpture at the Arts Students League in New York on a Kenneth Hays Miller Scholarship. She lived and worked in Carrara and Pietrasanta, Italy for seven years, carving marble at the Henraux Sculpture Studio in Quercerta.Her long list of invitational exhibitions include cities and museums in France and Italy such as Paris, Milano, Carrara, Viareggio, Ferrara, Casina Rossa, Querceta, Pietrasanta as well as Texas. Ms. Bateman has been awarded many commissions including the Diamond Shamrock Building in Dallas, the Fort Worth Zoo, Texas Christian Universtiy, and North Side Senior High School in Fort Worth.
