From Betsy Bass:

"The conception of the first sculpture called, The Birds, was spawned from a window display at a ladies retail apparel store. The French window frame just lent itself to be the home of birds. The Hall commission in Texas Sculpture Park, titled, Bird Window, is larger than the first one and has over eighty birds perched on it."

From Tim Nentrup:

"It makes me happy to see all those pretty little birds on my window."
